I have yet to talk to someone who is taking this approach and doesn’t end up with a dumpster fire, but here is to hoping this time is different.

Hope it works and you post about it.

I hope it doesn't work and they don't post about it.

It's just too bad the subsidized costs mean they won't actually feel any real punishment for their failure. Like normally time wasted on its own is enough of a punishment for making a poor decision, but they're not even doing anything themselves here!

What kind of noise does it filter out for you?

Mainly all the tasks that I otherwise feel I have to track myself. I've found that my head feeling clearer is an indication that I trust a tool to not lose context.

There are roles other than infantry in war, right?

I don’t know, but I hear the Trump boys are going to be doing a JV on some gold plated Persian toll booths. That family has unreal foresight.

Not a scientist and use codex for anything complex.

I enjoy using CC more and use it for non coding tasks primarily, but for anything complex (honestly most of what I do is not that complex), I feel like I am trading future toil for a dopamine hit.

I hope there is an even smaller bird that will bring this to cloudsql for us plebs.

You must be living on a different planet than me. Enterprises are just now seeing that these technologies can actually have an impact, and the companies do not have a discretionary cost cap the same way consumers/hobbyists do, so they will pay based on value.

The USA has 50 states.

Even if the pledges are in good faith, people are being naive about how utilities work.

The general goal for utilities has been to pursue the next “thing” and work toward some sort of regulation to lock in demand, which can be used as a lever to seek price increases and consolidate.

If there’s margin to be had, the utilities will find a way, and prices will go up either way.
