Arguably yes. git has a terrible developer experience and we've only gotten to this point where everyone embraces it through Stockholm syndrome. If someone had been looking at analytics from git, they'd have seen millions of confused people trying to find the right incantation in a forest of confusing poorly named flags.
Anyone working for Meta could have chosen to work elsewhere. You have other options (that might not pay $350 grand, but hey, that's the price of your soul)
I've never worked a software development job where I didn't have a company-provided machine that I installed Linux on. I installed the OS, I have root on the machine, I wiped it and returned it empty when I was leaving the job.
Lucky you, I guess. In all the companies I worked for I have had a company-provided Windows laptop where the OS was managed by IT. The degree of freedom (e.g. what software could I install, what websites were blocksd) varied.
IMO its a lovely paradox that no one can argue against such a deletion. Either the party choosing deletion is reasonable so there are grounds for deletion or unreasonable and they are the grounds for deletion.

Even nuttier is the one from the Peacekeeper. Float a perfect beryllium sphere in fluorocarbon. Use thrusters to keep it oriented. No gimbal lock, because no gimbals. I don't know specifically about Minuteman though a different ICBM uses inertial guidance but also does a star sight to calibrate at some point in its trajectory--says the Internet ahem. And, also yes, the modern inertial navigation that goes into all this is pretty amazing. The not so modern iteration of all this did get us to the moon in 1969.
