Can you stay in the bus when it’s on the ferry?

For crossing the Channel, definitely not. A very special exception can be made with prior arrangement for those with disabilities that made entering & leaving their vehicle too cumbersome, but they aren't going to ride this kind of bus.

No, but you can when the bus is on the train in the tunnel.

If we’re comparing Nazis, can we include both sides of the Atlantic?

Why would I care what others do or don't do, know or don't know, like or don't like, when it comes to Germans serving other right-wing extremist Germans talking points and votes on a silver platter, because they cannot be arsed to actually read and take seriously the accounts and warning of historians who lived through those times? I can't even figure what point you think you are making.

I wasn't comparing Nazis but the reality. Maybe that's your narrative

I thought you were comping 1930s politics to current events.

I’m saying that your comment broadly works when you compare current US politics to 1930s German politics (nuclear policy aside).

I think you need to go back to school and learn history before labeling everything which goes against your belief as Fascism. What happened in 1930s Germany is absolutely not what is happening in US right now. US is still a democracy whether you like it or not.

> US is still a democracy whether you like it or not.

It’s not a Boolean, it happens gradually, but it’s accelerating. I’m glad you think everything is fine, let’s hope you’re right.

You could change Germany for USA in your comment and it would be mostly correct too.

No it's not. Learn the actual history before you make vague comparisons.

It works just fine or is USA not having a war right now, arming like crazy and want to fight for lebensraum with China, while also having meager real economy output? I guess you should learn more about history ;)

"meager real economy output" what

What's the comparison, US is at war so it's like WW2 Germany? Hasn't it been this way since the 1960s?

You were comparing to 1920s Germany preparing for war, and it's not about Nazis?? It's not even that I disagree, it's just, you clearly meant this and then acted like someone is silly to interpret it that way.

The US are also supporting some rather dubious actions in Gaza and Lebanon.

Another serious question: if this attack was so desperately needed, why did it take Israel to push America into it?

It’s almost like it didn’t need to happen.

And if we step further back, relation with Iran are troubled, why would that be?

It's more like a nuclear armed Iran is an existential threat to Israel, while the threat to the US is longer term.

Iran isn't a problem for the US, it's a problem for Israel. They're a third-world country on the other side of the world. And their govt is severely corrupt and oppressive, but that's their problem, which we aren't even trying to fix with this war.

It almost makes you wonder how they got that government doesn’t it?

If America stopped messing with far-away countries, it might get something more palatable.

How’s all the ‘controlling’ coming along?

The US look like fools.

If it looks like a fool, talks like a fool, and acts like a fool...

Imagine if you paid for Windows and didn’t get adverts.

But… imagine that same scientific research but you have an unlimited budget. I’d imagine that helps.

Some of the comments here mention their monthly spend, and it’s eye watering.

It would be "unlimited budget" if they were a monopoly, but they're in a bidding war with three other "unlimited" budget AI companies, over a resource no one expected to be scarce. There's simply not enough supply to meet demand, no matter how much money you have

Why does it have to be so massive?

But who am I kidding? I’m not their target audience.

The most recent episode of John Oliver has a user getting instructions on making a bomb, and AI advising teenagers not to talk to their parents about suicidal thoughts.

I know you aren’t denying issues exist, but companies aren’t handling the issues (their PR around it is disturbing) and regulation is too far behind.

Can we kill all advertising?

That would almost have me believing in a god.
