I don't get the push for cloud with claude code. Do people like using it? I much prefer just having it run everything in the terminal personally. I rarely just accept whatever the output is and nearly always tweak it, so cloud adds a lot of frictino for me.

Well, I just searched HN for "ultraplan" and found your comment.

Holy ish, this is actually cool, the way I just used it.

First, in one Claude Code terminal session, use Jira Rovo MCP (CLI/skill if you prefer) to create epic/stories/etc for your plan. Manually review and edit in Jira. This is what I normally do.

What is new, in a clean session:

    /ultraplan implement <jira epic code>
This is amazing. It "teleports" much of your context usage to the cloud, leaving your local context window mostly unscathed. It also uses far more context than CLI Claude Code would normally use. It's an Opus 1M in the cloud, with sub-agents, connected to local. It was slow, but from what I can tell so far, it was worth it. However, I am just starting to user ultrplan and test. The promise is significant.
